Developing A Routine For A Hyper Young Child

Posted on

Hyper young children can find it difficult to listen and concentrate, which often leads to the parents having to chase after them on a regular basis. If you are looking for a way to bring your child's hyper behavior under control, there are a few techniques that might work. Some of the techniques can be practiced while your child is at home, but you may want to think about enrolling him or her in a preschool. In this article, you will learn about some of the things that can be done to develop a regular routine for a hyper child.

Give Your Child Regular Bubble Baths

One of the best ways to calm a body down is by relaxing in a bubble bath. Get into the habit of giving your child bubble baths when you are ready for him or her to stop being so active. Make sure that the water in the tub is warm to the extent that your child can stand it. You can also place oil in the water that is known for helping with calmness. For instance, lavender oil can be added to water to help your child relax more, as it works by way of aromatherapy.

Make Sure a Bedtime Schedule Is in Place

It is important to get your child used to going to bed at the same time every night. Don't allow him or her to be hyper past a certain hour. For instance, you can set a bedtime schedule that includes your child eating dinner, watching television or reading for a while, and then heading to sleep. Once your child gets used to the daily schedule, his or her body will begin to automatically calm down at a certain time. You will also find that you have more alone time to reduce stress after your child begins a set bedtime routine.

Send Your Child to a Preschool

Your child will have to get used to being in a structured environment that includes following rules if you send him or her to a preschool. There are sometimes therapists available in preschools to assist children with behavioral problems as well. Your child will not only learn how to remain calm for longer periods of time, but he or she can also prepare for kindergarten. For instance, your child will be taught a few educational skills while he or she is attending preschool. The bubble baths and bedtime schedule will also come in handy if you send your child to a preschool, as he or she will get more sleep and have more energy to go.
